34 - The Book Thief

My Area of Interest:Being made into a book, so I had to read it if I wanted to see it.
Finished 04/12/14 -The book was hard to get thru, it was an awesome book, but the style made me want to smack the author with the freakin book.  The reason why is because it was written from the point of view of death, and it just back and forward.  When a dude is gonna die, I want to know when he dies, not 200+ pages ahead of time.  All in all it was a good book, but you just kinda have to wave thru it.  I'm betting the movie is better, just because of the flash forwards.

My Area of Interest:Series that I ended up loving while waiting for the final in the Divergent series.  I ended up waiting to read this one, then forgot to even add it here.  I loved the series, and even tried to get my daughter to read it, but she's not really big on books not set in modern times.
Finished 02/20/14 - I like how this finished out the series finished out.  Great read.

Castaway -I hated this book, I didn't make it 40 pages in.  I just couldn't.  I'm not fond of historical books for one, and the author introduced too many people in the first 10 pages that I just kept getting confused.  Just really couldn't get into this one or make myself finish it.

Finished 05/07/13 - I on the other hand am loving them.  They are a cute fast read.  Given a day with no kids I could probably finish close to the entire series.. unless there are like 30 in the series.

My Area of Interest: Bored a bit, so I was looking around the library and found these.  I wasn't really sure if I could get J into reading these books because of them being set back in the dark ages.  I tried to get her to read the Anola Holmes books, but she couldn't get past the language used.  Hope that this can be a new series to get J into... and a new series I can read in between class work to take a break.
Finished 05/07/13 - Loved it.  The book was a fast read, and cute.  I'm glad there wasn't to much of the language used back then.  I really think I can get her into these.  She was a bit jealous that I had already started reading book one, and informed me that her school has these, and she'll just check them out on her own.  I laughed and told her that she can read the ones we got from the Paris Public Library.  And get more.  I don't think I'll have any trouble getting her into these.
