Finished 04/12/14 -The book was hard to get thru, it was an awesome book, but the style made me want to smack the author with the freakin book.  The reason why is because it was written from the point of view of death, and it just back and forward.  When a dude is gonna die, I want to know when he dies, not 200+ pages ahead of time.  All in all it was a good book, but you just kinda have to wave thru it.  I'm betting the movie is better, just because of the flash forwards.

Finished 03/18/14 -Really good, I'm enjoying this series.  As a side note, before I finished this, I watched the movie to the first book.  I don't think the people who did the movie even read the book.  I hope the movie to this one turns out better.

Finished 03/16/14 -Really good, I had the feeling that I had seen the movie before, but it was so long ago, I really couldn't remember it, maybe I've only seen bits and pieces of it.  The book was awesome tho, and I'm looking forward to more in the series.

23 - Son (The Giver Quartet #4)

My Area of Interest: Wanted to finish "The Giver" series.Finished 03/15/14 - SPOILER - this one happens at the same time as book one, yet finished up book 3.  Weird way to wrap around for the story, but it works.  This book follows the birth mother of the baby Gabe in the first book.  It's rather nice how everyone is together in the end, weird, but it works.  It makes sense how they can make The Giver into a movie, if they use this last book as well.

22 - Allegiant (Divergent #3)

Finished 03/13/14 -Good series, mad about this book tho.  I did not like the way it ended.  It ties things up, makes sense of things, but the end got me... I just didn't want it to end that way.

19 - The Giver (The Giver Quartet #1)

My Area of Interest: Found out a movie is being made about this book, so I wanted to read it first, didn't know it was a series.
Finished 02/22/14 -It was a bit slow at first, but then again, you do have to set the scene.  It's another of the utopian society books, but it was a good fast read.  *Spoiler* The ending did rather tick me off, I didn't know if it really ended or not.  It leaves you guessing if he makes it or he's dead.  Second book didn't help at all, but the third book does finally let you know.  On a side note, Taylor Swift is the third highest paid in this movie, and if the movie stays close to the book, her scene would only be about 5 mins long.  It is a bit weird that both the main characters are not in the top 3 billed cast.  I'm looking forward to seeing how they do this one.  With the hype over other utopian society books/movies, "Hunger Games", "Divergent", etc it will be interesting to see how this movie plays out, and if they do all 4 books in the series or just this one.

My Area of Interest: Fan of the show, but tried the books, and didn't get into it, so I'm trying again.
Finished 02/12/14 - Loved it, it is much better than the HBO show!  While the show is all sex, sex, sex, the book isn't.  It isn't all graphic, and there are so many details that I wish I would have known while watching the first season that I know know because of the book.  I still plan on watching the show, but I think I'll enjoy the books more.  I will have to admit I would have never finished the book had it not been for the fact I had to go to the hospital for a few days.  Regular life with kids and chores and everything else doesn't give much time to a HUGE book.  I did find it ticked me off a bit to have a nurse come in and I have to stop reading, or fall asleep because of the pain killers.  Plan on searching the library tomorrow if I
can get a spare moment to get to the library for the second book.

Finished 01/16/14 - I think I like this better than the Hunger Games so far.  The first is really good, and I can't wait to dive into the second, problem is the third is being ordered by the library and I'm 4th in line for it.  The way I craved and devoured the , I'm afraid it'll kill me not to get my hands on book 3 in the next few days.

My Area of Interest: I have tried a book of his, and didn't like it, but with the Spirit of Christmas reading challenge, I figured I wold give it a go.
Finished 12/04/13 -To my surprise, I really liked this book.  I found myself laughing most of the way thru it.  My dad is an accountant, so I could so see him adding up the list of what was spent.  The ending had me in stitches
, and now I want to search Netflix for the movie.
